In the recent Saturday game, the New York Yankees secured a 6-3 victory over the Colorado Rockies. Prior to the game, Aaron Boone, the Yankees’ manager, discussed to Yes Network regarding the progress of Giancarlo Stanton, also known as the Big G. Boone mentioned that Stanton is gradually improving and that his timing is the key factor in recovering his strong swing position.

It has taken some time, but Giancarlo Stanton is now showing signs of becoming the hitter that both he and the Yankees anticipated. Despite the team’s struggling offense, Stanton delivered a powerful two-run home run in the first inning of Friday’s game against the Rockies, accounting for the only runs scored by the Yankees in the entire game.

Aaron Boone expressed his satisfaction with Stanton’s progress, stating, “He’s getting there… It’s timing, rhythm, and that subtle load he has within his legs and hands. He’s positioning himself well to make sound swing decisions.”

Giancarlo Stanton seems to have found his comfort zone at the plate, unlike his initial struggles after returning from the injured list on June 2. Following a hamstring strain he suffered on April 15, Stanton’s performance was lackluster, with a slash line of .113/.203/.226 and 23 strikeouts in his first 18 games off the injured list.

Boone acknowledged that some players need time to find their rhythm after extended periods of absence. Stanton experienced a similar adjustment period after an Achilles injury last year. Boone explained, “Sometimes it’s taken him a little bit… He’s been pretty healthy since he’s come back [this year], though.”

“When G really locks it in, then you’re in real trouble. But there’s no question the last couple of weeks, he’s trending in that direction.” Boone stated.

Looking ahead, Boone mentioned that the Yankees expect to face Frankie Montas, a right-handed pitcher, during their upcoming series against the Los Angeles Angels. Montas, who underwent offseason shoulder surgery, has a follow-up appointment with Dr. Neal ElAttrache that aligns with the team’s schedule. Although Montas has only played catch thus far and experienced some soreness, pitching coach Matt Blake stated that the Yankees still anticipate him pitching this season.

In other injury updates, Boone revealed that Jake Bauers, who has a rotator cuff contusion, is nearing the point where he can increase his baseball activities within the next couple of days. Additionally, Jonathan Loáisiga, dealing with a bone spur, is close to pitching to live hitters. Meanwhile, Luis Gil, who underwent Tommy John surgery and has not pitched since May of the previous year, tweeted on Friday that he completed his first live batting practice session.

Boone is a delusional asshole. He brought in exactly the wrong pitcher to give up a grand slam to the worst hitting team (after the yankees) in baseball. Lost another game. My dog could manage this team better. That is at least 12 games he lost for us because of his bad decisions. Why is he still managing?
